ABOUT

First and foremost, I am a classical singer. I am active both as a concert singer and as an opera singer and have sung with the Norwegian National Opera as well as with most of the regional opera houses in Norway. My big love is Franz Schubert - everything started with hearing his Winterreise, I decided that I had to sing it, and since then, I have been stuck.

In addition to music, I have an eduction that covers Norwegian, Russian and Political Science, and I am also working as a Norwegian teacher for foreign students.

I have two fantastic Golden Retrievers. I am a dog person. You'll see!


I love to throw the camera over my shoulder and go out to take pictures. I used to have my own picture blog, but I think older and new sets eventually will end up on this blog.

Obviously, this blog will be a sprawling collection of difficult things: Music, thoughts about politics and society, literature, photos, dogs. In the end, I think I am more than anything else "collecting myself" and writing for my own pleasure, but if anything is of interest - or beauty or fun - to anyone else, I'm happy :)
